Kept the project on track across every sprint — managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder communication. Led deployment to Azure and contributed significantly to UI design throughout the platform.

Led backend architecture and development. Built the .NET API, database schema, and device data ingestion pipeline. Drove technical decisions on the server side.

Platform requirements, user roles, and integration goals were defined in direct collaboration with the FUEL team.
Secondary Client — FREDsense Technologies. FREDsense is a Calgary-based company behind the FRED-PFAS™ field test kit — the industry's first portable PFAS monitoring solution. Their system delivers same-day on-site PFAS screening without a lab technician. Connect 3 is the software platform that manages devices, stores results, and surfaces data for operators and managers.
Solving a Real-World
Water Challenge
PFAS contamination is invisible, widespread, and until recently impossible to measure without shipping samples to a laboratory. FREDsense changed that with FRED-PFAS™ — and Connect 3 is the platform that powers it.
The Problem
Traditional PFAS testing means filling bottles, packing coolers, and shipping to a lab — then waiting weeks for results, even with rush fees. That delay forces guess-and-check processes, more site visits, and longer, more expensive projects. Operators need answers on-site, not weeks later.
Our Solution
Connect 3 is the software platform behind the FRED-PFAS™ field test kit — the industry's first portable PFAS monitoring solution. Fieldworkers run the 5-step on-site test and sync results directly to the cloud, while managers get a centralized dashboard to track readings, devices, and project progress.
The Impact

Architecture Overview
Next.js 16 App Router with React 19 and TypeScript. Tailwind CSS v4 for styling. Recharts for data visualization. WebSerial API for direct device communication. PWA support for offline capability.
.NET 8 REST API with Entity Framework Core 8 and SQL Server. Role-based authorization middleware. Migration-controlled schema deployed to Azure-hosted SQL Server.
Azure App Service for hosting. Docker containerization for consistent deployments. GitHub Actions for automated build and deploy to Azure on every push.
